Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist

Future Program
Interested in computers, technology and professional skills! Sign-up for the IT Support Specialist Pathway hosted by Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC), in this training you will receive an NRF Customer Service and Sales, Google IT Support Specialist Certificate and a Stipend totaling $2,250 over the course of 7 months. This Pathway will position you to apply for the following roles IT Specialist, Support Specialist, IT Helpdesk Support, or Helpdesk Technician​. In order to apply for this Pathways you must be a Hennepin County Resident.

Qualifications for Participation

  • Must be a Hennepin County Resident
  • Posses a High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legal to work in the United States
  • Digital Proficiency/Typing Tests Required
  • 12 months customer service experience, can be unpaid. OR 6 month of experience in customer service and experience w/ computers
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Information Literacy Digital Assesments 
  • Proficient Math and Reading Skills
