What jobs will I be prepared for?
This program will prepare you to take your healthcare career to the next level. Attend Minneapolis College courses such as Medical Terminology, Medical Records, Communication in Healthcare, and more that will prepare you to join the workforce in positions of Patient Care Technician or Remote Observation Technician.
What certifications will I earn?
Earn certifications in CPR/AED/Basic Life Support, Mental Health/First Aid, and National Retail Federation Customer Service. You will also gain experience with the electronic record keeping system called EPIC.
What other opportunities are included?
The program offers many opportunities to network with Abbott Northwestern staff through multiple job shadows, including two positions and among different units within the hospital, and mock interviews.
Requirements for Participation
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Legal to work in the United States
- Proficient math and reading skills
- Meet income based requirements
- Proof of immunizations
- Background check
- 1+ years of office experience
