PPL's seven-week Office Specialist Pathway with Hennepin County will prepare you for this next step in your clerical career! Polish your resume, interviewing, and clerical skills in a small classroom setting while learning PPL's unique curriculum customized to fit the requirements for Hennepin County careers. Starting pay at Hennepin County is $21.50 and comes with benefits and access to mid level to upper level positions.

Future Programs

The Aon Apprenticeship Program is a two year-long program that prepares program participants for entry-level employment at Aon while earning an Associate degree. This program is a collaboration between Aon, Normandale Community College, and Project for Pride in Living and focuses on assisting individuals who want to enhance their business background. They will engage in coursework at Normandale Community College to earn an Associate of Science (AAS) Marketing and Management with Human Resource Management Certificate.
Train to become a community advocate, empowering underserved populations with direct health services.
The Healthcare Plus program is a six-month long program that prepares program participants for the Patient Care Technician (PCT) position, formally known as Patient Assistant Coordinator or Health Unit Coordinator. This program is a collaboration between Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis College, and Project for Pride in Living.
Want to start your career in education? Become a teacher's assistant through this training at PPL in partnership with Normandale College. You will prepare to work with students of all ages and abilities.
Earn your credentials to assist Pharmacists throughout the Metro.
Learn how to draw blood and work in the medical field as a Phlebotomist. MN Health Fairview and Allina are excited to partner and provide this fantastic start to the medical field. No work experience is needed.
